Hey Hey Hey! It's a brand new day so what do you people have to say???? Whine, Bitch, Bellow and Moan, just remember, you're never alone. Share your victories, vent your defeats, & share advice, just give our room a little of your own special spice! (Cheesy enough?)
Sooo I am sorry I haven't found the time to log in more than to recount everything I ate
the day before and quickly log out. I am trying to get all my business affair squared away
before my birthday trip this weekend to Las Vegas. I'll be staying at the Luxor and
catching a few shows.
My only fear is this....buffets. I don't know what to do. I have a weakness when there are
no limits and I am not preparing the food myself. My solution to counteract this is since
I haven't been to the gym once during my weight loss regimen (which I'll be starting up
again next month), I thought maybe I should wear my fabulously cute new bathing suit and
do some swimming or hit the gym for at least an hour or so each day at the hotel. Maybe
that will counteract the other damage I may or may not do. I'll try not to OVERDO it
although I may have a couple drinks my birthday night. I'm not a big drinker so I won't
overdo it and I'll try to choose something a little lower calorie like maybe I'll bring my
own splenda packets and ask for vodka and lemon juice then add my own splenda to make some
lemon drop martinis...YUM. We'll see. This is only my 3rd time to Vegas and my first time
staying on the strip. We went for Xmas but stayed on Fremont Strip where they have the
overhead light show in the streets. That was nice and the casinos are a lot older. I'm
really looking forward to the two sexy shows I've picked out to see, Zumanity and The
Fashionistas. They are TRES RISQUE SO YAY YAY YAY! Yeah I have a thing with rhyming if you
couldn't tell by the intro to the room.
Okay, sorry I was away so long. I'll try to check in again soon. Don't let the room die
out! We've got a great group here.
Stay away from the buffets alltogether. There are so many fantastic places to eat there, that are resonablly priced and have good food.
I live in LA, SOCAL so Vega$ is in my backyard - I go there pretty much every other month for concerts, gambling, shopping, etc.
Believe it or not that city has alot to offer besides the Strip.
Enjoy your Birthday to the fullest! Remember Barcari and Diet Coke only has 19 calories and Zero carbs.
If you want to stay away from the buffets, I have a tip. **** WARNING: If you WANT to eat at the buffets, DO NOT READ THIS TIP. **** A friend once told me to imagine the number of buffet patrons before you who sneeze into the food, or who don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom and then touch the serving spoons, the stacks of plates, etc., or whose dandruff falls into the chafing dishes. I know it's gross, but it will make you not want to eat food that sits out, that's for sure.
I might go to Vegas for my bday in March as well. The Mirage has an awesome buffet! No, I am not trying to give you any suggestions, I just looooove their fresh fruit. May sound quit odd, but the only thing I can really remember is the tasty salad and the fresh fruit. I guess you can say that's a good thing, right?
I second the comments above...stay away altogether. Or if you must, pick one to go to (I like the one at Paris - HUGE crab legs) and otherwise eat at regular restaurants. I personally want to try Bobby Flay's restaurant in Caesars...mmmmmm, grilled food! :)
Another great drink option is vodka (or gin) w/ soda and a lime. And most of the bars have flavored vodka to mix things up. About 60 cals and delish!
