About This Group

Heart rate monitors have got to be one of the best motivational fitness tools out there. You can keep track of your body's exertion during workouts and compare that directly to your dietary intake. Best of all, you can share your workout results with other HRM users here who can provide great feedback and support. Share things like: Calories burned, Max HR, Avg HR, or whatever other results you want.

New to this group and to the Daily Plate but not to HRMs.  Had a Polar in the past, currently have a SUUNTO T3.  I love the motivation and accountability of HRMs!  Have been struggling with my weight for the past year (have gained 35 lbs.) but hoping this site, the groups I have joined and calculating Weight Watcher POINTS will help me get back to being healthy and feeling fabulous!

Welcome to the group.  I can tell you 100% if you use this site to track your intake and necessary calories, you will shed the 35 lbs.  I use my HRM religiously and without trying, I got rid of some weight that was slowing me down on the bike.  I credit this site 100% for helping me realize what I needed daily and where I was going wrong.  Good luck with you efforts and report back the progress.  It's been a little quiet around here, but keep in touch.

Hi welcome Janie!  I also have a Suunto (t6c), and I love it!  I totally agree about HRMs.  It's very nice to see your HR progress over time to observe better cardiovascular health.  I, however, have some work to do as well in battling my  "school" unhealty habits.  We can all work together to make it work.  Good luck! Post your workout results here and we'll gladly give feedback.
