Heart rate monitors have got to be one of the best motivational fitness tools out there. You can keep track of your body's exertion during workouts and compare that directly to your dietary intake. Best of all, you can share your workout results with other HRM users here who can provide great feedback and support. Share things like: Calories burned, Max HR, Avg HR, or whatever other results you want.
I am so bummed. My Garmin 305 died, won't turn on... and I am running my first
full marathon in 2 weeks. I called Garmin, it was still under warranty (my
warranty goes till December b/c I got it for a Hannukah gift)... despite 20 min on the
phone with tech support, they couldn't get me to it to boot up. so Garmin is going
to repair or replace it.
Hoping I get it back by my marathon! I will not be a happy camper running for 6
hours without having all my "stats" available to keep me mentally stoked!
