Heart rate monitors have got to be one of the best motivational fitness tools out there. You can keep track of your body's exertion during workouts and compare that directly to your dietary intake. Best of all, you can share your workout results with other HRM users here who can provide great feedback and support. Share things like: Calories burned, Max HR, Avg HR, or whatever other results you want.
If my total caloric intake is 1750 and I exercise and burn 350 calories, should I still only eat 100% of daily value or should eat another 350 calories worth of food. The question comes in when Livestong.com recalculates after I enter my exercise and says, "You may eat about 350 additional calories today". Should I eat another 350 if I'm trying to lose 8 lbs? Thanks.
If you net below what your daily recommended intake is then you will lose weight more rapidly, however if you aren't eating enough times throughout the day you may trick your body into thinking you are starving, and then Burn off Muscle instead of Fat.
Sometimes it's impossible to eat back what you burned off especially if you are working out a lot. Basically it's about how do you feel, if you are tired and hungry, then EAT, just eat smart, if you are full and way below what your recommended intake is, you don't have to force yourself to eat it back.
I actually wore mine last Monday. I have a desk...
