posted by bells on 3:00 pm

has anyone ever tried listening to that music/sounds of nature (running water etc.) that is designed to help people fall asleep?

I haven't tried that. Iread myself to sleep (or not) just about every night.

Yes! I have this hometics thing and I cant sleep with out it. Mine is the sound of the ocean (the water one makes me think that I have to pee all the time). It works for me I would try and see if it works for you.

hmmm. i bet the ocean might work for me...maybe ill try it

Ocean never worked for me. Nor did "thunderstorms" or "rainforest." Relaxing sure, but just wasn't sleep inducing.

Now if I'm having trouble sleeping, I pop on a track by the artist Milieu called "Xanadu." 24 minutes of ambient sound. Puts me right out.

sounds interesting. i will check it out.

i can send it your way if you have trouble finding it. just holler.

Personally, when I have a hard time falling asleep I find the sound of rain to be very soothing. I recently downloaded an app on my iphone called Storm sleepmaker. if you have an iphone I highly recommend it. It put me right to sleep!
