Hello All!

My name is Miranda and I am new to this group.  I am returning to Livestrong after a "I don't need this, I can do it on my own" break.  Well, I do need this and I am not very successful on my own.  I am your typical emotional eater.  I am working on it.  Exercise isn't really a problem for me.  In October I started the couch to 5 K program and completed it.  I ran my first 5K in Feb and my second in March and knocked of 2 mins from my previous.  My problem is the food.  I haven't gained or lost any weight from starting the couch to 5k program.  But I ate whatever I wanted. "I can eat that because I run"  WHATEVER.
Today is a new beginnig.
SW 204
GW 140
I need some people to kick my butt in gear and help me change my attitude about food!

I know you can do it.

Welcome!! We're on a similar journey - my SW was 200 and GW is 140. I am currently down 17 lbs and feel amazing. Congrats on your two 5Ks. I wish I could run - arthritis in the knees and ankles and three herniated discs in the low back say otherwise. The elliptical is definitely my friend though!! I used to be an emotional eater until I joined Livestrong and started tracking EVERYTHING I eat - if you bite it, write it! I still eat when I get emotional, but I make much better choices and know what I need to do to balance the calories. You can do this, and we're all here to help! I also suggest joining in on our Monday weigh-ins to help keep us accountable. :)
