About This Group

Greetings, fellow tweens! To those people ages 10-13, you may join this group. Otherwise, GET OUTTA HERE! We tweens can stay in shape and eat right (even if we have the better urge for ice cream), just as good as you old people! Good luck, my friends... -CuteBeans9 (Group Administrator)

Staying Active

posted by CuteBeans9 on 8:50 am

Sure, a lot of adults would say we have a big advantage over them with exercise because we have more time to do it. That is not exactly true. Adults may be more busy with work and housekeeping and watching us kids. They have a lot of exercise doing that! But we have things to do too. We have school, unlike adults. School takes up a lot of our time, especially homeschoolers. But even though we have school and other responsibilities in our lives, we need to find time to get outside and have some fun! If it's raining, there's still a lot of things to do inside. Don't forget, you can still get fresh air inside when it's raining! Open a window with a screen just a little bit, like 5-8 inches. The rain won't come in unless it is really windy. Don't be embarrassed to do physical exercise like sit-ups, crouches, lunges, and push-ups in front of other people. A lot of people do. At school, P.E. doesn't have to be hard. Think about the benefits you have by doing it. You are keeping more fat off your body than you think. You are keeping your body healthy, and though you are sweaty and smelly afterwards, you are really cleaning out your body. Notice that after you have your shower, you feel really good, right? Sure, your body is aching. So what? If  you do the same thing tomorrow, it will be harder with the pain of your muscles. But that means you are getting better at it. You are shaping up your body for better exercise and a better life for the future.

Losing Weight

posted by CuteBeans9 on 3:35 pm

Just because we are younger doesn't necessarily mean we don't struggle to lose weight like everyone else...we all hate the extra fat we have!! Losing weight isn't as hard as you think. Using the Daily Plate and calculating the calories you eat helps to lose weight fast. All you have to do is set your weight goal and it tells you how many calories you are allowed to eat each day to reach your goal. Trust me, IT WORKS! Remember, if you can't find the food you ate in the list, add it!! Other people might use your addition too. We all eat differently but we still need to make sure we calculate our odd-ball diets. Happy losing!
