I thought I'd start a "challenge" here for us to track our weekly measurements, that way we can SEE where we are losing our weight from... All you need is a measuring tape. if you don't have one, then a piece of string can work if you have a ruler or a tape measure to measure out string where your measurements are. here are the places I measure weekly: * Bust: * Chest: * Waist: * Hips: * Thighs: * Calves: * Ankles: * Upper arm: * Forearm: * Wrist: * Neck: * Height: * Weight
I've been counting calories and working out like crazy (jogging 3 mi 3 times a week and working with a trainer 2 days a week) for a little over two weeks now and I don't see any results. I decided today that getting on the scale is just discouraging me. I measured myself tonight so that, hopefully, I will see some changes. I know I'm working too hard for nothing to be happening. I'm just not seeing it on the scale, yet. At least that's what I'm telling myself!
how long have you been doing this for? 2 weeks?
have you changed your eating habits? are you drinking plenty water?
as it normally takes a few weeks for results to start to show.- sometimes as long as 2months (thats what a Dr told me...)
your body generally starts building muscles, before it starts using the fat. the muscles will then start using the fat for energy. but you have got to give your body chance to adjust to the change. dont be put too much pressure on yourself or your body. if you do this you will feel disheartened.
you need to pay more attention to measurements in inches rather than in lbs, thats where we all go wrong, we all want to lose weight to see the benefits of the exercise but we presume that the best way to see them results is through weight loss first. usually it is excess water that we lose so we think yes its working, but in actual fact its not.
the exercise will reshape your body. the lbs will come off, once your body gets used to burning the fat.
its better to be 10st of lean muscle than 10st of fat
it takes hard work, sometimes for quite a lengthy period of time. DONT GIVE UP!!!
thats what these groups are for arent they, to support & encourage & give advice.
i wish you all the best & keep us posted on your results.
