WINNERS

posted by deb1207 on 3:42 pm

I had an idea to develop a list of WINNERS - food products that you consider WINNERS, for a certain reason. For example: Thomas' Better Start Engish Muffins and Western Alternative Bagels are winners for me, because they each have  110 calories, and fiber, so I can eat a whole bagel or muffin and stay within calories.  We each have our WINNERS foods: in many different categories. Another example: Safeway sells a salt alternative product called AlsoSalt and they have a GarlicAlsoSalt, they are great for keeping sodium down.

I made a list we can ALL use and contribute to as a RESOURCE, an ongoing, ever growing food and shopping resource. It is an OPEN document. You can ADD your own WINNERS to this list. They are in different categories, ie bread products, breakfast cereals, things to smear on bread, protein foods, dessert foods, etc.

If you are INTERESTED: DO THIS

1. GO TO THIS LINK:     WINNERS FOOD RESOURCE

2. Think of a WINNERS food product you would add, and why it is a winner. (I have examples in there).

3. ADD your food products with a brief explanation of Why a Winner (ie, Almond Breeze: in beverage category: 40 calories, low carb tastes creamy)

4. AFTER YOU ADD: Click on the Picture of the Disk, above the document, just below the word "File". This saves your work.

5. SAVE THE HYPERLINK. To be able to quickly and easily find this link, Save it as a Bookmark (or in Delicious), or email it to yourself, do something whatever you do to make it easy and quick to access it at any time. Then you can add or look at the new shopping and eating ideas.

THANKS! Let me know what you think. We can add more categories and add more foods to any of the lists.
