How to Test for HGH Levels
Normal levels of human growth hormone is less than 5 ng/mL in adult men, less than 16 ng/mL in adult women and less than 15 ng/mL in children, according to "Mosby's Manual of Diagnostic and Laboratory Tests." Acromegaly may be present when HGH levels are greater than normal. HGH testing must be ordered by a physician and performed in a laboratory over the course of several days, but is otherwise a simple process.
