After Lance Armstrong finished Stage 1 of the Tour Down Under, he met with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and South Australian Premier Mike Rann. After the meeting, Prime Minister Rudd announced his government's commitment to the fight against cancer and the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Campaign.

I want too thank you for all the good thinks you are doing.
I had the same cancer like you and for mi my sport helpt me a lot.I play underwaterhockey in Holland.watching you white yor sport help mi and a lot of other people.I am sure of it.Thank you a lot Lance Armstrong.My name is Herman Bosker and hope too meet you some time.

Great to see and hear Lance again - he is hardly mentioned by the jealous French !! the English and Americans in France will be out in force again to cheer him on as usual.
As a multiple cancer sufferer I get strength and hope just by seeing what he does .
It will be great if he wins here (Montpellier) but just competing is awesome.
Good luck, Lance. (actually that is never said to performers on stage in England and France - one
says BREAK A LEG but I can hardly say that to LA !!!)
