Nothing like a bike ride to clear your head.

Do you always ride further on for minutes to relax the legs after a race? Or didn`t you want to go directly into the bus to avoid being too close together with Alberto? When I try to step into your shoes, to feel like you I could understand that you try to be alone for yourself a bit and avoid it a bit to be too close to the others diractly after a stage that was not won by you and your team. But I hope that you can manage it all.

Haha,
you rock!
P.S. We're still missing the video from the Astana Post Race Dinner ;-)
by zosocane on July 14, 2009 at 12:00 PM
Remarkable. Lance just finishes a 120-mile TdF stage and he still rides another 10 minutes to flush out the legs. I don't see any other riders doing the same thing, they're all in their team buses. Not bad for a nearly 38-year old rider. Incredible.
by mynalon on July 14, 2009 at 12:00 PM
I completely understand why he kept riding. Truly amazing man!! Keep on riding.......

Hi Lance
I have only a question for today
tell us why do you are wearing that black sox?
All the best Lance
Urbano
by brohder03 on July 16, 2009 at 7:35 AM
He wears compression socks after the rides to help speed recovery. As for the black socks during the rides, I heard he was just a fan of how they looked.

Keep riding, Lance. You're always going to be in front...as you always do:-)Good luck in tomorrow Stage.

I believe Lance might say he learned this move from Eddie who used to ride to and from races. I couldn't imagine being at half the level Lance is at right now.
For those riders who may need some help on the hills, or ride with the grandkids, maybe an electric bicycle could be useful? For more information on this topic please visit the VeloChef blog community at http://velorep.com/velochef

by mszczerba1 on July 14, 2009 at 8:53 PM
Hi all,
Before and After exercise - One should warm up and do a cool down, this is good for the muscles and prevents injury!
I do the same in every training and even training at the gym - I warm up and cool down after each and every training session and during a big ride or whatever training I am doing.
Nice ride Lance - Nothing is better than riding a bike - Hey! you went passed a caryard - the cars can stay there for riding a bike is better!!
Happy Cyclist who will always keep up with her riding and gym!!!

thats so cool looking, just a man and his bike.
i wonder what was going through the minds of the people driving by haha

I am so grateful for Lance's insight into the necessity of an organization like Livestrong.com and his williness to utilize his celebrity for the good of others. But alas, his fame has it drawbacks -the poor guy couldn't even get a few minutes alone on his bike.

Riding by yourself... How are you not bombarded by the media??? I have been watching every TDF stage and you have inspired me to train harder in my off season. Thank you!

Shown missing his kids/family back home. They're missing him too, I bet.
