What Are the Benefits of Conventionally Grown Beef?

Conventionally grown beef usually comes from cattle that are raised on concentrated-animal feeding operations or CAFOs. These are industrial-scale facilities that house many thousands of animals in such close proximity that normal grazing cannot occur. Consequently, conventionally farmed cows are fed grains instead of being allowed to roam around and graze on grass. Conventionally grown beef has few benefits over organic, grass-fed varieties. The main benefits are related to cost and availability.
