How to Broil Ham Slices

A ham slice, or ham steak, is a cut of pork taken from the wide end of a ham. The slice is available in a thickness of 1/4 to 1/2 inches, and cooks quickly when broiled over high heat in an oven. Ham slices are convenient to make, but require that you watch the broiling process closely to prevent burning. One ham steak is large enough to feed two or three people, depending on the circumference of the slice.
