I figure it's time to update this section of my profile, so here goes...
I'm 24 years old, about to graduate in a couple of weeks with a degree in Psychology. I've recently started a job as a Case Manager for one of our many Halfway Houses here in CT. Although i'm still in training, I find the job to be very rewarding. Getting to know a group of inmates is definitely an experience!
I currently live at home with my dad, and my dog Zeus (who happens to be my world!). We get along pretty well, but it's hard to stick to a diet when you're living with someone who gorges himself on carbs every night (and never pays for it!).
I began my lifestyle change in June of 2007, and did really well until about October. I'd lost 40 lbs and was at my lowest weight in a long time. The holiday's hit, I had some boy troubles, and everything seemed to be going down the drain, including my healthy eating! For about a year now, i've had a lot of rough starts, a lot of failures, and a lot of gains and losses. I'm currently back up about 20 lbs from my lowest weight before, but I try to be positive and look at it as still being 20 lbs lighter than when I first began this journey.
It's time to make some changes in my life so that I can be happy. You must first love yourself before anyone else can even attempt to love you...
