Dr. Albert K. Chong is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. Among his areas of expertise are shoulder stabilizations, rotator cuff repairs, knee ligament reconstructions, meniscus repairs, cartilage transplants and elbow reconstructions. He also has an interest in arthritis and joint replacements of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He has assisted in the care of professional athletes, including those from the NFL, Major League Baseball and the Association of Tennis Professionals.
Dr. Chong obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology, Sports Medicine at Stanford University. He received his doctorate of medicine and also completed his residency at the University of Southern California. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at SOAR/Stanford University where he obtained advanced training in arthroscopy and the care of athletes.
Dr. Chong is a member of several organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the California Orthopaedic Association. He is currently in private practice at the Southern California Orthopaedic Center in Pomona, Calif.
He enjoys taking advantage of the great weather in Southern California to play basketball, golf and tennis. He also likes reading and doing crossword puzzles with his wife.
