I have been over weight most of my life, but active in sports through high school. Not sure what hit me up long side the head in September, but I joined a gym and have been going 5-6 times a week ever since. I swore when I joined the gym that I would just go work out on my own, but ended up going to the personal trainer. It is expensive, but it is the best money I have ever spent! As ove April 12, 2010 I have lost 87 pounds and hopefully keeping it up for more.
My starting weight was 320. 100 pound sof weightloss is coming up soon. The next thing I will be really motivated to hit is changing the first number to a 1. When I started this journey, I couldn't even imagine that and now it is not so unrealistic.
4/27/10 - had a bad few days. Had abdominal pain on Saturday, went away for awhile, but got worse on Sunday so I went to the emergency room. They did a CT scan, I had gallstones and my gallbaldder was inflamed. They also found a cyst on one of my ovaries - got both of them taken out yesterday. I was so close to my 100 pound goal, hoping this won't stop me. I just can't really do any weight lifting for a little while. I will know more when I go back to the doctor on Monday. Also bummed because I am supposed to go to Jimmy Buffett concert on Thursday. Sitting on the law listening to Buffett was something I was soooo looking forward to. Not sure I can sit there for that long now. I guess I will decide based on how I feel tomorrow :(
5/18/10: After 3 1/2 weeks of only doing cardio, I am soooo ready to start lifting weights. I am going back to my trainer on Monday, May 24, 2010. I hope my trainer doesn't hurt me too bac, but then again, it might feel good!
