EDIT: Lunch was so good! We were bad, though, and ordered a piece of the Chocolate Mousse Cake. Yum, yum! I only ate about 1/3 of it though and let Justin eat the rest. It was so good! I definitely need my additional workout tonight now! LOL

Happy Birthday to my puppies, Kiba and Cheza! They are 6 years old today. I can't believe we have had them that long. We love you guys! :-)
Work was rough yesterday but thankfully, the afternoon was better than the morning. I at least made headway on my cases and my judge was reasonably happy with the outcome.
I left work and went to pick up Cayden. He was outside playing and having a blast! So cute. We went home and he wanted to play outside with the pups so we did that for a long time. I cut up our watermelon and prepped dinner for Justin. I didn't feel well last night so I ended up eating oatmeal and some mixed fruit for dinner. Anyway, we played outside for a long time and I finally got Cayden to come in and take a bath. He wasn't very happy though so it was a fast one. I got him out and dressed and we played in his room until Justin got home. I put Justin's food in the oven and we talked and played with Cayden a little more.
Then, we watched Deadliest Catch we had recorded and ate. Cayden got tired and went to sleep about 8:30ish. He slept fine until about 2 and then he was really restless. I moved out onto the couch and he dozed in and out. I had to fight hard to get my workout in this morning because he did not want me to move from his side. I love snuggling with him but at the same time, I only ask for my workout "me time" in the morning. Every other waking moment is for my family or work and I really love my workout time. So, I admit I was frustrated this morning. It worked out eventually and I got my scheduled workouts in but I worked out about 15 minutes later than usual and that pushed us back a bit. Oh well. I am going to try to do Jackie's XTreme Timesaver Training after work too. I want to get another 30 minutes in, especially since we are going out for Italian food at lunch today. Justin and I are having another lunch date. We are trying to do that more often so we can connect with just the two of us. I am trying really hard to focus on our marriage as well as Cayden. I want to avoid any future rough patches as much as I can! :-)
Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying my new mixed martial arts workout program. The workouts are fun and totally different than my other programs. Today was strength training using heavy resistance bands and abs. The trainer does so many moves that we never do in my other DVDs so I really enjoyed it. And, I can already feel it in my upper body so it worked even though my workout was interrupted a couple of times. :-)
I took my measurements this morning and they were great! My stomach is looking leaner too so I am excited. Mel--you are so right! Staying off the scale is so much better for me mentally. I am going to put it away and not even use it for now. Measurements are so much better for me. :-)
Let's see...I have a few to do's that need done but nothing immediate.
To do list:
(1) fold laundry
(2) collect everything to take to children's consignment store next week
(3) drop off birthday gifts
(4) put suitcases back in attic (I have been asking Justin to do it for a month and I am tired of them sitting in the garage)
(5) put titles to cars in safety deposit box
(6) print off CHL requirements for Justin (done)
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday! I am so excited the weekend is almost here. I so love my weekends. :-)
