Originally from Philadelphia, I moved to Florida after 42 years of what I thought was life, and then I discovered the rest of the world. I quit smoking after 25 years, started exercising and running, got certified in SCUBA diving, have crossed country 5 times in the last 3 years, have met wonderful people, and never knew life could be so exciting. I found out about LIVESTRONG when I made a very nominal donation to Lance's foundation after my mother was diagnosed with Squamos Cell Carcinoma. My wife passed away on Valentine's Day 1995 due to circumstances surrounding a spinal cord disorder known as Spondylolisthesis. Since then I have been living everyday for what its worth, and there's no quit in my game. Take a risk, face your fears, take yourself out of your comfort zone and live life. Don't take anything for granted and forgive yourself for the things that in the long run really don't mean anything. I thank all the people in my life who encouraged me to live life with passion (even though they must've thought I was going crazy at the time) and all my long lost but newly found friends for being a part of my wonderful journey in any capacity. I am truly blessed to have met, known, and loved you all. I'm not done yet, so join in the fun!
