About Me
I'm a fairly healthy girl with a family to take care of. One husband, 2 girls, and a dog : ) I work as an RN in the postpartum unit, 3 12-hr. shifts per week. I like all different kinds of workouts, but am primarily a runner, and I love researching nutrition-related information.

I like to run all kids of races, but 5Ks are probably my least favorite. I keep doing them though to help with my speed. lol. Speedwork is my main goal at the moment. I know I can go the distance, so speed is the obvious next goal! Besides running I like to do weights, cardio classes at the gym, and Group Ride (cycling). I also enjoy yoga but haven't had a chance to do that in a while due to my very tight and sore sciatic nerve.

As far as diet, I try to follow the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle program outlined by Tom Venuto, and just a Clean diet in general. I believe in the principles and got to a pretty low body fat percentage last summer. I was around 114-115 lbs and the body fat was 10.3%, which was a pretty accurate measurement by an experienced trainer. Since then I gained a few pounds while trying to maintain and backing off on the running this past fall/winter. So now I'm back at it and trying to get back down to about 115 again to look my best.

2009 Goals:
* Eat Clean
* Find BALANCE in my life. Food and exercise need to blend in with my family, work, and personal life
* Healthier relationship with food- I don't have to binge to be happy.
* Get organized- start filing the piles of papers on the desk, clean up clutter, find places for everything. Throw out things I dont need!
