Surrender all those ideas about being what you are not, and become what you really are.

No crunching numbers for me at this stage in my life. Weight is a number, clothing sizes are created for ease of purchase, not a method of humiliation. I love myself unconditionally and respect myself unconditionally, so no matter what the numbers on the scale or the clothing tags may be....the best thing I can possibly do for myself is to see myself through the eyes of acceptance.

Self love has taught me to understand the reasons that I do things, not reject myself for decisions which may result in setbacks. I accept those things in life which are out of my power and can not be changed and I change the things in my life which need to be changed and are within my control.

I am a force to be reckoned with and I embrace challenges with passion because overcoming challenges builds character. I have four sons and I try my hardest to maintain the healthiest lifestyle possible. Having children is a reason to be inspired, not an excuse to let myself go. I am in charge of each decision I make, therefore I take responsibility for everything I do. When I need answers, I simply look in the mirror.


On aging.....I do not feel a day over twenty and I have learned that diets do not work because we tend to view moderation as deprivation. I feel we must be able to cozy up to our demons (for me that would be simple carbs) and flip them them bird if we are unwilling to do what is necessary to burn off those extra calories through exercise.

One of the coolest experiences I have ever had was to take taekwondo with my oldest son.

This site will help me to become more aware of what I must do in order to keep my engine well fueled and tuned up.
