I love to read, write, listen to music and watch movies (pretty much anything from Classics, Westerns and Hitchcock to Cohn brothers, Adam Sandler, Quentin Tarantino, and Pixar, Dreamworks--no torture or scary flicks though). I also love to be outdoors! I played basketball for years and still love getting out on the hardwood (or concrete!) for a game of pick-up. I've started running since moving to Annapolis and try to hit the gym daily.
I plan to run my first half marathon May 3, 2009, my second May 30, and my first full marathon with Team in Training in Seattle on June 27th!!!
Workout Week:
Monday: Off day or cross-training (45+ min. cardio on the elliptical, weight lifting, abs)
Tuesday: Run day-Speed (now at a min. of 4 mi.), kickboxing
Wednesday: Swim Laps (1 mi.), power pilates
Thursday: Run day-Tempo (min. of 6 mi. and building)
Friday: Off day or cross-train (45+ min. on elliptical, weight training)
Saturday: Long Slow Distance
Sunday: Pilates, 30 min. cardio (and sometimes the driving range!)
I'm focusing on training my body to be as fit as possible for the three endurance events I'm doing this summer, and looking for results in performance and strength, rather than on the scale.

4/25: Run A Muck 5K (Rockville, MD)--This is my birthday present from my running partner; it's an obstacle course 5K--with lots of mud!
5/3: Frederick Half Marathon (Frederick, MD) - Result 2:14:59
5/31: Zooma Half Marathon (Annapolis, MD)
6/27: Seattle Rock N Roll Marathon (Seattle, WA)
