About Me
I graduated high school in 1997 at about 150 pounds. I graduated college in 2001 at about 200 pounds. I got married in 2003 at about 200 pounds (after dieting). My twins girls Hazel and Celia were born in 2008. Went from about 218 before pregnancy to 260 during and back to 218 after. I'm the art director for a local monthly magazine and have just hit 240 pounds. I'm not very active, so I just joined a gym.

I used to take kickboxing classes and got into the best shape I'd been in since high school. Didn't lose much weight, but ws healthy. I loved it; it was the perfect workout for me. I quit after 2-3 years to join a real martial arts studio with my husband. We both earned our orange belts in kung fu, then I got pregnant and we both quit. I haven't worked out since then and have gained about 40 pounds.

I'm ready to be healthy and active again! I don't want to be fat anymore.

    “SW 243 LW 232 CW 237.5 GW 219 (150) I skipped a weigh in last week because I went from 229 to 232 and I was frustrated. Didn't want to see it writing. But I worked my butt off this week -- ate better, worked out 3 times and I admit, I was dreading the scale this morning. But I did it. Whew. I think I actually need a new scale... I keep getting an error and have to step on it sometimes 3-4 times before it works. I'm afraid a new one will be way off from this one (and I don't want to see higher numbers!). Any suggestions on a good one that's not more than like $50? Also FINALLY took my measurements this morning after thinking about it for over a month. So at least when I have another bad week, I can check those numbers. My clothes are definitely fitting better and I know the scale isn't a good way to measure, but it sure is nice to see the numbers go down.”
