I have played sports all my life and also am an ex-Marine that has always had a large appetite for any foods. My activity level was so high that it didn't really matter then. Now I work and hang with family and friends and my girlfriend and all we do is eat and have some drinks. My exercise level has declined to be almost nonexistent. My weight has reached 255, although I am 6'3" it still drives me nuts to be out of shape. I have declined in everything, energy level, ability to play sports because of aches from not working out or maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I want to change this but everytime I commit I get frustrated when I can't achieve results quickly and when I get discouraged I quit. This Livestrong.com sounds very interesting to me and a great tool to track what I am doing to my body with all of this consumption of bar foods and other fast foods.
My goal is to get my body weight down to 215 and increase my flexibility and strength to be able to get back to playing soccer and enjoying the healthy lifestyle that I am used to. I just want to stop having to buy new clothes every month because I am to lazy to maintain my current weight. I am excited to use this site to help hold me accountable.
