About Me
Update-5/1/11- Nearing the one year anniv of maintenance. I have been +/- 5 lbs of my goal weight for most of the year. Have completed 2 Half marathons since the full Nov '10, and have 2 more signed up for the next 2 months - planning to redo the full in Nov '11..Running all of them with the hubby - that makes it even better!

Update - 12/1/10 - Completed the marathon on 11/7 (yay me) and have a half to run on 12/5 - resetting my goals post marathon, but haven't finalized them. Going to focus more on strength and flexibility. Maintaining my weight.

8/7/10 - Have signed up for my first marathon on 11/7 - training is going ok - I'll make it or die trying !!

Update 6/18/10- I have been in maintenance mode since the beginning of May, and have continued to drop a few pounds, although I am focusing on taking in enough calories to not lose any more. I am officially down 55lbs from my highest weight - orginal goal was 30lbs - and have shifted my focus from weightloss to overall fitness.

In July 09, at my highest weight ever, I decided to make the changes necessary to stop slowly gaining weight and to lose weight instead. I set an original goal of losing 30 lbs. As of today 4/26, I have lost 50 lbs. There is one month until my 41st birthday. I "celebrated" my 40th near my all time highest weight. There were many times in my life when I said that before my next birthday I would loose xxx lbs. This time, I have not only succeeded, but surpassed all of the goals that I set for myself. Now it's time to move into the maintenance mode.
