About Me
I retired from the Marine Corps in Aug 08 after 20 years of service. No excuses here - just got plain lazy. Three years later and after some routine blood work from my doctor, I was slapped right in the face with health issues that cannot be avoided any longer (high triglycerides, elevated blood sugars, and a carrier for Hemochromatosis). "WHAT?? This can't possibly be happening to me, after all I have this big yellow and red 'S' on my chest! This is surely wrong, after all, I am a lean, mean, fighting machine..." REALITY - Bing, Bang, BOOM... I joined LiveStrong and have been slowly working back into physical exercise and watching my diet. I have learned that I am not 20 years old anymore and cannot push my body to the limits I once did as a young Marine.
