About Me
I moved my original About Me to my Blog.
--
My name is Nick Costanza. I am a cancer survivor, husband, and father of three. I am not a physician.
The nickname is just a nickname.
--
I love sports, and thriller reading and movie watching.
--
I actually lost more weight and inches before I joined LiveStrong, but it is a journey, and I really appreciate the support, and the tracking tools.
--
On 7/17/2009, I will be leaving the US to travel overseas for the first time. My destination is Beirut, Lebanon. I do speak a little Arabic, and my wife is from there. I will be amongst my wife's friends and family. I'm thinking of it as the trip of a lifetime, and am very excited.
--
Finally, for now, my goal is to lose another inch, and 7 pounds before I leave on 7/17/2009.

I lied. One more thing. In this society, I feel that too many people are not willing to take the longer, harder more satisfying route to fullfillment. They are interested in instant gratification, and this has filtered over to a spirit of hedonism, even in our relationships. We fall in love, we fall out of love, we switch partners at an astonishing rate, and never feel satisfied. This is why I've begun signing my posts with "LiveStrong & LoveStrong". The first part is obvious. It's why we belong to this site. The second part may not be. It emobodies what it means to love others even when it isn't easy to do so. I'm not advocating staying in an abusive relationship. I'm only stating that we as a society need to stick with it longer, and not look so much at what we are getting back in the short-term, but that we need to invest more. We need to love others whether we feel like it or not. Anyway, I hope this helps someone. I know my wife and I have has plenty of ups and downs over the years. By all accounts, many women would have left me, and deservedly so, but she stuck with me, and I stuck with her. We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on 8/21. It hasn't been easy, but it has been worth it, and I thank God every day for my wife, and our partnership.
