About Me
I am a retired policeman/motorcycle officer. For most of my life, I've maintained an active lifestyle. Presently, I lift weights and take a self defense class 3/4 times a week. I thought I was in good shape until the self defense class kicked my butt. I thought I was pretty strong in the gym and could lift a lot of weight. I signed up for P90X (started 2/15)and it kicked my butt, too. It's a totally different kind of workout, requiring more endurance. I got weighed under water and found my body fat was 20.8% at 198lbs. TIME FOR CHANGE! I want to lower my body fat to 10%. I am going to give the Daily Plate a try. I better learn how to cook!
Upon completion of P90X, I have experimented with various programs; interval training, body weight exercises (pull-up, dips, push-ups), and super set weight training. I continue my Krav Maga self defense classes. On July 23 I was weighed under water again and weighed 166 pounds with 8.4 % body fat. UPDATE.. On 4/15/11 I had my BF checked (hydrostatic) and I weighed 163lbs with 6.8% bodyfat.
