About Me
I have been VERY thin and VERY unhealthy and i have been 256((my top weight)) so this journey for me is about getting and being HEALTHY
i do NOT have an support system,,,my family and friends have had enough of me losing and gaining weight that they just don't want to hear it and/or deal with it any more

I was diagnosed with hashimoto's thyroid disease April 2011
I was diagnosed with celiac disease May 2011 . Hence the gluten free diet.
My liver and kidney issues are related to my celiac's.
2011 was a rough year.

I have been vegan or vegetarian for most of my adult life.

After my celiac diagnoses I had so many dietary restrictions I had to incorporate meat and animal protein back into my diet .

I was not happy about this but at the time it was a matter of survival.Although I must admit I do enjoy having eggs and dairy back in my diet .
As my gut heals ,I am slowly working my way back to vegetarian ,, much to my dietitians dismay ,, my body my choice.
I do not see my self being vegan again because of the simple fact ,, with my dietary restrictions it would be next to imposable to ingest enough protein to maintain a healthy body.
THAT is what it is all about ,, Maintaining a healthy body .


I have not been here for awhile, but I AM BACK,
I seem to have gotten a handle on the gluten free eating thing but in the process I have gained back 50 pounds. So instead of 30 more pounds to lose I am back up to needing to lose 80 pounds

One of my goals is to try to learn to eat to maintenance while losing the weight . I feel that learning to eat to maintenance is MUCH harder than losing the weight and is something that many of us over look during our weight loss journey .

after taking some time off I am back on track

5/31/12 = 195.2 - 1.4 my dietitian and trainer advised me to raise my calorie goal last week so I am VERY happy with that much of a weight loss :)
