About Me
I love the beach, enjoy working out, running and especially spending time with my family.My goal is to run my first marathon next year. After raising 4 children I now have the time to do what I enjoy. So I took up golf because my husband likes it and I started running again because I like it or shall I say love it!

Our Lord and family will always come first in my life and all the things I enjoy come next. I love to coach Jr high students. So I am also the Asst. Cross Country coach and coached cheerleading for jr. high and high school for many years. I will also coach track and field in the Spring.

I believe fitness and good health will keep me young and able to keep up with the young.

I look forward to someday being a very active grand parent!

    “Boy not a whole lot of posting going on.   Well I ran the L.A. Marathon yesterday. It was fun. I didn't meet my goal of a sub 4:30 but considering the injuries I had I was pleased. I ran a 4:41. My IT Band hurt a little, more today than during the run and I had really bad muscle spasums on my right calf starting at mile 19 so I had to stop about every 3/4 mile and stretch and rub it out so that really slowed me down. But the course was great the weather perfect and running to the beach was even better because it got cooler. And I finally made it to Rodeo Drive! Living in L.A. I had never been there. Now I know why you need LOTS of money to shop there. So I will take a short break  from running and get back at it to do a Half in June.   Stay safe, Linda :)”

    “4 easy miles today. I know some of you don't like the taper but I do and need it to rest my leg. I may even take tomorrow off and do crosstrain instead. I will run again on Thursday.   I bet the ice sculptures are cool!”

    “DId my last long run yesterday 22 miles. I bit tired today and boy did I get blisters and will lose yet another toe nail. I am glad I don't feel the blisters while running. They are a surprise when I take my shoes off. My left side knee hurts ITB issues but tapering begins and I taper a little more so I can rest the leg. 3 weeks left and I am looking forward to a much needed time off.   Keep up the good work everyone!!!   Linda :)”

    “OK today I did an easy 5 this morning, last night 8, tomorrow is my first 20 miler on my training schedule. I will slow it down and look forward to a good run. I also hope my IT band doesn't bother. Something new to bother me :(   But I am moving ahead :)”

    “Well it isn't a workout for me but a rest day. Going to pick up my bib number for the Surf City Huntington Beach half marathon I am running on Sunday. Yesterday I got in a 6 mile run @ 8:48 pace. My plan is to run the half a sub 2hr. don't want to push it ,using it as my 13 mile training run for the marathon. Fell great on the schedule. And I just want the cool surf board medal..ha ha..Gotta love those medals!!   Have a good one everybody, Linda :)”

    “Last nigth I had to do 7.5 miles on the dreadmill UGH!!! I hope it not raining tomorow morning I need to do 17 miles. Stay focused everyone. have a good weekend :)”

    “It is raining and I refuse to run 8 miles on a treadmill!!! I will adjust my milage for the rest of the week.”

    “Well I have been bad at posting but I am staying on my marathon training plan. Ran 11 on Saturday, today is crosstrain day I will bike and do core and legs. Mileage goes up this week. I am a regular at the chiropractor because I had a hard fall last weekend and hurt my shoulder and a slight twist of the ankle. But all is going well. Half way through training YAY!   Maggie you are an inspiration!!   Linda :)”
