Married with three children. Started taking medication for the first time in Dec 2007 (hi bp and hi cholesterol). Adopted a vegan diet in late Feb 2008. What a surprise! It's not bad at all! I don't go hungry, I have more energy, I lost 24lbs over three mos., and my cholesterol is back to the good range. I think it's the diet. I play golf once a week (in a cart), otherwise, sadly sedentary. I need to become more physically active and lose the gut I carry. Oh yeah, I need to quit smoking. It's embarrassing being a doctor who smokes. I see that as my biggest obstacle.
