Getting back on track and joined a nice group on Facebook for further support!

1/31/11
Still hovering in the lower 200s and not sure what to do. Resolved to track more consistently this year as I feel off the tracking wagon toward the end of last year. Thankfully my weight has not increased but more or less remained static. With the snow on the ground, my walking regime has really fallen off. Need to commit to some regular exercise.
Would like the see the other half of this weight come off this year. It is so nice to fit into clothes better and it is also really nice to run into people who have not seen me in a year and have them notice how different I look. Can't get complacent though!

11/9/10:
Totally got busy at work and at home and have fallen off the tracking wagon! Thankfully my weight has not fluctuated too wildly. Still in the lower 200s. Seems like every time I take my eyes off what is going into my mouth I check the scale and I am back up a pound or two. Just goes to show what sort of delicate balance this is. I know exercise is the key, so as we go into these colder months I must find ways to keep moving.

9/15/2010:
Still in the lower 200s!! Not sure what's going on but definitely need to up the exercise level and lower the junk intake. Next goal is to be down to 190 by Halloween!

8/4/2010:
Currently slogging through the lower 200s toward my end of summer goal to be under 200. Thought losing weight in the summer would be easier because we are more active and there are more fresh food available. Oddly the parties and cookouts and vacation all seem to thwart this effort!!! Just about one more month until Labor Day. Sure would be nice to hit those last summer get-togethers in a smaller size!


6/29/2010:
nearly 40 lbs down, one third of the way to my goal. It seems so far off but I know if i keep doing what I am doing it will come off. I am trying to approach this like an academic goal, just keep taking the classes, and doing the research and the paper WILL be accepted and published!! :))

UPDATE: Three months into joining the Livestrong site I have lost about 30 lbs. This is a great success for me and I am starting to look a little different. But I have a long way to go!

I have always been told I was fat, even when I look back at photos and was clearly not! So my mindset seems to be that I am the heavy one. Well, no more. I have another half of a life to live and I would like to do it shopping in the regular clothing stores, thank you very much. I feel like I am attractive, intelligent and sociable, but I never want someone to remember me as that "fat girl" or the "heavy-set woman that works down the hall". I am determined to drop 100 lbs and from there maybe even more.
