About Me
I am not a fitness freak, but I am a military member therefor I need to stay in shape to pass my physical fitness test every 9 months. When I switched from Army to Air Force I really relaxed on the good habits and ended up failing my fitness test. This was an eye opener because I did not notice that I was really gaining weight or getting out of shape. When I went home that night and weighed myself I weighed 235 lbs! Last time I had weighed myself (about a year before) I was 185 lbs. I decided I needed to take action and began doing some light jogging and cutting back portions. I also gave up fast food almost entirely and stopped drinking pop and alcohol completely. In about 3 months I was down to 210 and had passed my fitness test. I have a feeling that if I do not do something about it the weight will creep back so I have decided to join livestrong to give myself a system to keep score. If I do not have numerical goals and progress charts I tend to get bored really fast and give up :) This tool has been great and hopefully I can shed a few more pounds to get back down to the 185 lb body I am comfortable with. It would also be nice to get my cardio stamina back up to make the fitness tests that much easier to deal with.
