I have a big goal right now -- run the Boston Marathon in 2012.

OK strike that! It ain't going to happen. I've changed strategies.

I'm now about enjoying the run. Reality is, there are many, many great marathons out there, and Boston is just one of them. Many others have much better scenery and more enchanting destinations.

So, my new goal: Run Detroit as a warm-up to the Big Sur in 2012.
