About Me
Hello, my name is Kim and I am a married 46 year old woman with 2 step kids and one grown son. I am about 40 pds overweight. I weigh about 180 and my goal is to get down to 140 and if I lose more, then great, but I'm shooting for 140. Once upon a time, I use to be a big fitness buff, even studying personal training at one point back in my early 30's. I was in great shape then, weighing around 129, but as I approaced my mid to late 30's I slowly quit exercising and I also found that I could no longer eat what I wanted. Once I hit 40 the weight really started to come on and every year since 40 I slowly gained until I was up to 180. I tried once last year to lose by going to the gym and lost 10 pds, but the driving back and forth was costing me too much money and also I got bored with going, so I gave up and have since put back on the 10 pds. So here I am again, trying to do this once again. This time around I purchased my own treadmill, so that I can get on it anytime I want. I bought it last Friday, January 6th and have been on it everyday since except today. I'm taking today off because I have a headache. This week I actually lost 2 pds, so I just hope this continues. Right now, my plan is...I'm on the treadmill 5x a week, lifting light weights 3x week and eating around 1350 calories a day.

    “I got back into the swing of things last Wednesday and got back on the treadmill walking 35 minutes a day.  Was off over the weekend, but got back at it again yesterday.  Where I was off sick two weeks, I lost 2 pds, so it wasn't a total loss.  I lost another pound yesterday, so I've lost 3 pounds in the last 3 weeks that's better than nothing.  Getting ready to get on the treadmill again here in about 45 minutes.  Hopefully, I can keep this up and continue to lose weight.”

    “Well I fell off the wagon a couple of weeks due to a cold one week, then a migraine the next.  Then my belt slipped on my treadmill.  Hubby finally fixed it, so I got back on it yesterday and did 35 minutes of walking.  Planning to get on again here shortly.  At this point, I'm just trying to be consistant.  I did lose 2 pds from being sick...not a good way to lose it though.”

    “I haven't been here lately because I haven't been on my treadmill last week because of a bad cold and now this week I've had a migraine.  It's aways something lately.  To make matters worse, I went to the doctor yesterday and they told me my triglycerides was quote "really, really bad.  It was so high...like 530ish.  And here I thought I was eating decent, but guess I was wrong.   So anyway, I've got to eat even better than I had been and I need to get back to exercising because apparently my life depends on it.  They said I was high risk for heart disease.  My migraine has lifted some, so hopefully I can get back to the treadmill in the next couple of days.  I hope everyone here is doing great!
