About Me
I have lost all of my weight three times in my life and gained it back with interest. I realize that life is a struggle whether I am trying to lose weight or just trying to not gain weight. So since I must struggle with this no matter what, I choose to use this website's tools to help make the struggle easier. I'm not shooting for two pounds a week, but just for one and really just hoping to stop gaining. It will be a long journey to lose the 200 pounds I need to lose but I have to travel that road anyway. I might as well travel it more mindfully. I will never be a cook, but I will try to get more food from the grocery store and less from the drive through. It's a slow process but I am energized by the people and the stories I have found here on LS and that sustains me.

Highest Weight was 415.0 pounds.

SW 410.0 10/22/11
MW 406.4 01/01/12
MW 397.8 02/01/12 - loss of 8.6
MW 390.6 03/01/12 - loss of 7.2
MW 382.0 04/01/12 - loss of 8.6
MW 381.0 05/01/12 - loss of 1.0
CW 381.0 05/21/12 - loss of zero this month so far

Goal is to get to 349 by September, 2012. If I maintain a loss of 1.5 per week, I will make that. It's been about 1.7 to 2.1 per week since January 1st.

I ate an average of 2152 calories per day in January and lost 9 pounds. That means my body burned about 3168 calories per day. My food goal is set by LS at about 1890 per day and I'm going to leave it there knowing that I will go over 100 or 200 calories most days and will still be able to lose weight if I keep my activity level constant. If I can increase it, all the better.

After 349, the next goal is 299 by April, 2013 then 239 by April, 2014 then consider what I want from there.

"We must learn to complete in faith what we began in enthusiasm." The Rule of Benedict

From my friend, Sally, I stole this quote:
"Discipline is remembering what you want." David Campbell

From LissaSunny, "I will never get to the end if I don't enjoy the ride."

Mood: Full

Ended up getting in to the cheese and crackers last night and didn't track it. My perfect day shot. I still feel full from that. Another day, another chance. OA tonight. I'm going.

12:30pm - feeling very full after my chili for lunch. Had a salad too that didn't taste that good. The dressing was kind of flavorless. Dinner will be soup from Panera so I should be under my 1850 for the day.

“I work in a hospital, and though I can get healthy choices from the cafeteria, I am getting really tired of the cafeteria food.   Does anyone have a good idea for something simple to bring from home for lunch that is about 500 calories of solid meat and veggies?  I don't have ANY leftovers (I don't cook) so that isn't an option.  I don't care for frozen veggies but I wish I could find some that I liked.  I need to be less picky and just buy something frozen and bring it in with a banana or something to go with it.  Hmm, how about boiled eggs and precooked bacon?  Maybe some string cheese and a banana to go with that?   Any ideas?”
