posted oatmeal lovers--help !!! in the group oatmeal lovers--help !!!
“I tried the oatmeal in the crockpot today--it was yummy but a lot of it stuck on the bottom and sides. Did I do something wrong?
I also tried the receipe someone posted (sorry I don't remember who
) that you take the oatmeal and bake it into bars. First off, I forgot to add sweetner, then couldn't figure out if they were browned enough (there is a reason I don't cook often teehee). they were a little watery so we took them out of the pan and let them cool on a rack for 4 hours--they did dry out enough to put in a baggie but I think they will squish if I try peanut butter..............so whoever out there knows what went wrong or the EXACT measurements of all of the ingredients, please please please let me know. I used to make a bar with dry milk, oatmeal, pumpkin, applesause, raisins and brown sugar that you bake but I will be darned if I can find it--If anyone that likes to cook (hint hint Chris) and would like to experiment with that receipe, let me know how it goes......thanks everyone, Karen ”
