just quit the job i've hated for over a year. going to be turning my part-time job into a full-time job for a little while (work from home! holler!) while i study to be an ekg technician. what's next? nursing school? someone please give me money. k thanks :)

i wear an activity tracker and right now i'm tracking my full calorie burn for the day. this means my goal is -500, but this doesn't mean i've eaten 0 and burned 500 for the day. just easier to work out in my head this way. my BMR is around 2000 calories, so -500 works out to roughly 1500 calories, but since i never burn the same amount every day, this is easier. eventually i hope to figure out what a "normal" day is and adjust it from there, but for now, this backwards way works for me.

10:15pm - alive? yes. tracking? no. hah. ended up grabbing a bagel for lunch (taylor ham egg & cheese!), and the office went out for dinner. apps, a beer, and a burger/fries. tasty. not my healthiest day, but obviously not your typical day. now i'm drinking my last heineken and working (what i would have called the 2nd job - but for now, it's my only job!).

tomorrow means getting back on track with running/the gym, and really cracking down on studying. exam is due for my online course on june 15th, and i need to have a good handle on the information by then so that i can start preparing for the certification exam.

my life is insane right now, but i love it. i've spent years waiting for my life to turn around and... it turns out i just had to do it myself. feels good.
