About Me
I am far from being as healthy as I would like. I have been over weight my whole life. I am sick of it! I am trying to make a change. Looking smaller was never enough motivation for me, but since I've grown up I've realized the importance of being healthy opposed to just doing it for looks. I want to be healthy. I have always been an athletic person, but my weight has held me back in too many ways. I am still young and I want to join in on all those sports I've missed out on.

Just this past Feb I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. I finally have a name to go with all these pains I've had my whole life. I'm learning a lot more about what I have and how to deal with it. Getting the weight off will relieve some pressure from the joints. Getting there will be tough too. It seems every time I get excited about working out I over due it and then I literally can't walk the next day. My biggest obstacle right now is finding a good pace that won't hurt me and sticking to it.

I just got married to the most amazing man on July 1, 2011. He is so supportive and has really been the motivation I need to get through my obstacles, push forward and see some results! We are planning to have a baby soon and I would like to take some of this weight off before we conceive. Yet another very important reason to keep working hard. I am making a lifestyle change...wish me luck! :)

I have included photos to show all aspects of my life. Since I have just begun my journey I only have "before" shots now...I have been over weight my whole life so I even have a pic from childhood in there. I can't wait til I have "after" shots!!!!! :)

Starting Weight: 245 lbs.
Goal Weight: 130 lbs.

4/27/2011--I have ignored the scales until today...weighing in at 233.6#...
7/19/2011--still ignoring the scales...lol 229.6#
