About Me
I moved to Pittsburgh in 2004 after finishing my bachelor's degree at Edinboro University in 2003. I have been working for PNC Bank since Aug 2004 and am currently on an underwriting specialty team verifying income. It's a lot less stress than my previous job, and I really think that's helping in my current weight loss.

I gained a bit of weight as a combined result of my sedentary job and a string of lazy boyfriends. I'm done with being lazy just because someone I may be dating is lazy.

I've been a wonderful, active guy and things have been going great. We've been together about 6 months and he just moved in. I'm not used to cooking every night, but it's really helping me learn new and healthy recipes! He tells me I don't need the gym and I tell him it's for me, not him.

I joined weight watchers in the fall of 2007 and lost a total of 18 pounds with the program. I joined the gym in Feb 2008 and have been trying to go on a regular basis and to date have lost approximately 60 pounds. I still have about 50 pounds to lose to hit my ideal goal, but I'm taking it slowly.

Still taking things a day at a time...I have a tendency to take months off of dieting/exercising, but I've finally gotten my metabolism in a place where I don't gain back everything I've worked hard to lose.

I'm currently setting a goal of losing 10% by the end of the Biggest Loser season! That's 5 pounds a month...and very doable I think!

“SW: 254 LW: 191.4 CW: 190.4 (down 1) TWL: 63.6 GL: 180 (May 3)   Back to the grind! Was hoping I'd lose more than that, but I was only able to get 3 workouts in this past week. I have been making better food choices and I still have 7 weeks until I want to hit my next goal...so about 1.5 pounds a week. Since I'll be doing my OT in the morning for work, I'll be able to get to the gym Tues-Fri this week. Plus, helping my friends move into their new house Sat will burn a whole lot of calories! Looking to the future and staying positive this week...no matter what!

“I'm not sure if anyone else has run into this, but I've noticed that when I stay within the calories that TDP sets for me, I get all of my fruits/veggies and plenty of fiber, my scale goes up. I'm working a lot so I can't get to the gym, so I've been trying to make sure to stay at or slightly below the TDP calorie goal for losing 2 pounds a week...and so far the scale has gone up 1.6 pounds. Has anyone else ran into this? I'm just finding it very hard to stay motivated when I follow this and the scale keeps going up. HELP!!!”
