As an athlete, I need to be more knowledgeable about what I eat. I need food to train, but I also want to be a lean machine, have a high power to weight ratio so I can climb hills faster and not have to bring along extra weight. So I'd like to loose a little weight, slowly and safely, without loosing muscle mass. I'm a rather impatient person so the first 5weeks of my diet was just realizing that I have to think long term, and suffering the consequences of a too low caloric deficit. So I'm fiddling with what keeps me satiated and able to train almost every day. Despite my mistakes I've learned a few tricks and certain foods that help me keep to my goals. Really I just need to focus on consistency, and remember that food is a partner in my training/weight loss and not an enemy.
I like this quote: "Discipline is remembering what you want".
