I am a mother of 4 grown children. I had really given up on ever losing weight, but in the back of my mind I've been worrying about getting diabetes. I have not been happy with myself for the past 4 or 5 years. Our dog needed obedience training; that's what got me started walking, then jogging. My daughter has become a runner in the past few years and she has really been encouraging! She is very smart about eating healthy. I also have a friend who's been working on losing weight for over a year who has been giving me lots of encouragement, it helps enormously to have a cheering squad! This site has helped a lot as well, seeing my weight loss on a chart in quite the motivation. My goal is to get to a size 14 by Spring, and then work on getting to a 12 this summer. I was a 12 in high school, so that would be quite an accomplishment!
