My fitness journey started as most girl's has...with a boy. When I met my husband I was 17, the heaviest I had ever been up to then, and not looking for a relationship. Well, he found me and swept me off my feet. So, without trying, I dropped to a comfortable size 8. Over the college years, I fell into some trouble going between stuffing my face and not eating at all. I ballooned to the heaviest I have been in my life. This was unacceptable. I dieted and lost a significant amount of weight as a side effect of a prescribed medication. Then came THE QUESTION. I had to be in the best shape of my life for the wedding. So, I exercised a lot, started lifting weights and was a slim size 6 by the time I was finished.
However, life has gotten hold of me. I am a nurse that has worked in an ER running my booty off (literally and figuratively) for the past few years. Now, I'm at a desk all day. Love the life, hate the effects of being more sedentary.
My goals:
Get to 135 lbs
Tone my body
Run a 5K
