About Me
Short term goal: take supplements daily, meet water goal daily, stay within calories & track every day.

Getting to 150 lbs puts me into the "normal" weight category. Getting to 132 lbs puts me at "ideal" weight, I would be very healthy & satisfied with 140lbs.


Intermediate goal: reach 150 lbs.

Long term goal: reach 140 lbs.

Ultimate goal: 132 lbs

Hi! I am a 43 year old mom of two - happily married for 19 years. I have Multiple Sclerosis but no serious disabilities yet & I plan to keep it that way for as long as possible!

I started tracking in March 2008 to disprove something I heard about women miscalculating their daily calorie intake by aprx 50% per day. Through tracking I found out that, yes, I was a major miscalculator.

The real problem though is self sabatoge. I have all of the tools necessary to achieve & maintain a healthy weight, but something keeps holding me back. Fortunately, through tracking my calories & making some food changes, I had been able to keep off 15 of the pounds I lost for 8 months. Then I got sick for several weeks & gained back 7 lbs of it. I want to make sure I get this corrected before I'm right back where I started, which is where I am today!!

Because of the MS & having two active kids, I do sometimes disappear for awhile, but I believe this site helps me to live a healthier livestyle, so I will always come back when I am able.

Lean Proteins:
*Boca Burgers
*Boca Sausage
*skim milk has tons of protein and no fat
*cottage cheese (1%)
*chicken breast
*hard boiled egg whites


4 Tbsp = 1/4 cup
8 Tbsp = 1/2 cup
16 Tbsp = 1 cup
5 Tbsp + 1 tsp = 1/3 cup

Note to self:
*South Beach Ranch & any Newman's Own light or low fat.
*Baked Tostitos save 40 calories & 7g fat & adds 6g carbs & 2g protein
*Fat Free French Vanilla Creamer saves 40 calories per 4TBS.
*Promise saves 40 calories & 3.5g fat without hydrogenated oils.
*Papa Murphy's thin crust pizza
*substitute apple sauce in brownie & chocolate cake recipes
*substitute can of pumpkin in brownie & chocolate cake recipes

These simple changes save up to 300 calories per day!
