I am in my late 40s, and was diagnosed with testicular cancer 4 years ago (2004) which was quite a surprise! Fortunately it was very early (I found a lump, and went to see my doctor - amazing really!) and so surgery and radiation were sufficient to get me cancer free and keep me that way for four+ years since. I have had to deal with some of the typical aftereffects of cancer and radiation - this has lead to a fairly radical rethinking of my lifestyle, which has been a very good thing. The process of changing the lifestyle is ongoing!
