Rafting Trips

New York State Rafting Trips

The mountain rivers and creeks of New York State offer excellent whitewater rafting possibilities. Most of the whitewater rafting in New York can be found in or near the Adirondack Mountains. But less than a two-hour drive from New York City in the Catskill Mountains, the Delaware River can be rafted. Esopus Creek, a Hudson River tributary, is popular in June. The southern Adirondacks have white water to raft at the headwaters of the Hudson. More action can be found farther west in the Genesee Valley.
