"Almost" Lyndon Johnson's Favorite Chili

Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Turkey
- 1 cup Onions, Diced
- 2 clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Spices, Oregano Leaves
- 2 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3/4 tsp Tobasco Sauce
- 2 cups Water
- 1 1/2 cups Tomato Puree
Directions
Place the meat, onion & minced garlic cloves in a Dutch oven. Cook over medium heat until the meat is lightly browned. Add the oregano (preferably dried Mexican oregano), chili powder, ground cumin, salt & Tobasco. Pour in the water and tomato puree and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour. Skim fat during the cooking if desired. Serve hot.
