Basic Freshly Popped Popcorn

  • 1 1/2 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 5 tbsp Popping Kernels, Popcorn


1 In a large saucepan, fully heat the oil over medium. (Note: If you like, vary the type of oil used to best match flavor of toppings or personal preference.)
2 Once hot, add the popcorn, cover with a lid, and shake the pan to fully coat the kernels with oil. Continue shaking routinely until you begin to hear popping.
3 Let the popcorn pop without shaking the pan until popping stops, about 3 minutes.
4 Remove from heat and immediately toss with toppings of choice. For best results, toss popcorn with toppings in the hot saucepan rather than a mixing bowl. (Note: If you have leftovers, consider re-crisping it by placing the leftover popcorn in a skillet over medium and cook while stirring until toasty.)
