This recipe was adapted from the True Blue Smoothie in Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook for Milk Allergies, Lactose Intolerance, and Casein-Free Living. This smoothie is light, but still keeps me going through an entire morning soccer game! Multiply this recipes for as many servings as you would like. For some extra vitamins, blend in spinach (fresh or frozen). You, and your family, won’t taste it one bit, and the deep color of the blueberries hides the green color.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 1 medium Banana
  • 1 cup Berry Medley (frozen)
  • 1 cup Pure Almond Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Vitamineral Greens
  • 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon Ground
  • 1 cup Baby Spinach

DIRECTIONS

1 Makes 1 large serving
2 Ingredients:
3 ripe banana, cut into 2 in chunks
4 cup frozen blueberries
5 cup original almond milk, may use rice or soy milk
6 T flaxseed
7 ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
8 ½ cup fresh or frozen spinach (optional)
9 Toss it all in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add ice to desired consistency.
