A classic banana split can provide well over 500 calories a pop at a dessert shop. Luckily, you can partake in the iconic dessert with this inspired recipe in calorie-friendlier style. Recipe + Image: Jackie Newgent, RDN.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES 1

  • 1/2 cup Organic Greek Yogurt Plain
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 3 tbsp Pistachios, Shelled, Roasted & Salted
  • 2 tsp Organic Chocolate Syrup

DIRECTIONS

1 In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt, honey (or coconut nectar), and vanilla.
2 Peel and halve the banana lengthwise; place onto a dessert dish. (Hint: For added intrigue, spritz banana halves with organic cooking spray and grill until caramelized!)
3 Top with the yogurt, raspberries, pistachios, and chocolate syrup.
